A game of poker against streamers

How the streamers beat Helmut

Not too long ago, a prominent gaming establishment called Hustler put together a rather unusual line-up for a televised game with $100/200 stakes. And for this event, celebrities from streaming platform Twich and YouTube were invited, with some poker players also appearing as guests to entertain the young line-up.  In the end, the poker community was delighted with the event, but there were some negatives. This was primarily due to the behaviour of Phil Helmut.

Public personalities, bloggers and streamers and Helmut

The organiser of this event is streamer Ludwig, but it’s also worth saying a few words about the other people present:

  1. Chess streamer – Alexandra Bortez.
  2. Ninja – Tyler Blevins, who also does cybersports streamers for the game Fortnite. It’s worth mentioning that he’s also played with international stars.
  3. Ludwig Argen, also a eSports personality. It’s him who holds the record for the number of paid subscribers on Twitch, their number reaches 283 thousand. He was awarded the best streamer award for this very achievement.
  4. SLIME Machine is another past hero who is involved in collaborative podcasting.
  5. Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast. This is the #1 earning youtuber in the entire world. As of 2021, his earnings were as high as $54 million.
  6. Felix Langel xQx is a player who has played professionally at Owerwatch.

As for the poker representatives, there were:

  1. Tom Dwan.
  2. Phil Helmut.
  3. Alan Keating.

The live broadcast lasted about 8 hours, and due to such a large-scale and interesting event, Joe Ingram, a well-known commentator, was invited. He had previously taken a break from poker but still decided to take part in this unusual show.

There were plenty of fun and interesting shenanigans and banks, so only the best are worth mentioning. The topic was discussed on social media for a long time to come.

Tyler Blevins with his combination of a pair of 7s skirmished with Helmut who had a pair of Jacks. On the river for the common straight he cast 10 and shouted I’ll suck a dick for a ten just before the hand, and indeed luck was on the youtuber’s side and there was a ten on the table.

Helmut plays poker with streamers

Straddles up to $25,000 and an all-in for 4 players

The game was very active and the bloggers were not inferior to the poker players, often bluffing on a bad card and raising to the flop.  And at one point, the pot exceeded $25,000, and it ended with 4 opponents backing the idea of betting all in, and the total pot reaching $339,000.

The winner was Jimmy Donaldson, who beat Phil.

In fact, it was the blogger on the litter who won, and Helmut spoke out about the injustice that prevails in the world. To elaborate, Phil said that he had never seen a worse game in his life.

For a minute, Helmut is considered to be the most titled poker player at the table, with the game being played in tight poker where his personal score went slightly over 35%. For example, the same Keating played almost every game regardless of his hand.

I gave you everything.

It’s no secret that Helmut often insults his opponents during a game, but there was something new. He tried to provoke the players into action.

During another draw, one of the players went all-in and bet 35,000. Everyone seemed to fold, but Phil started his show. The amateur began to rejoice at his victory and offered to show his cards. As it turned out Helmut’s hand was stronger, but his amateur won.

Of course SLIME was happy to make his experienced opponent to fold, to which Phil said he wasn’t going to fold because he was sure he had a better hand.  And further suggested that he take the pot and the amateur got his bet, but only paid $5,000 for the misunderstanding.
